Vickie Setzer, NCCP, joined Patton Brown Law, formerly Partin, Patton & Brown, in May of 2010 after having been a Senior Paralegal focusing in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury and estates for over 13 years.  Vickie's desire to help clients combined with her many years of paralegal experience helps her relate to our clients in their time of need.  Many former clients have stated that Vickie was more like a friend to them than a paralegal.  A native of Wilkes County, North Carolina, Vickie, completed her formal paralegal education at Surry Community College graduating with Honors with an A.A. in Paralegal Technology in 2000.  In December of 2005, she earned the recognition as a North Carolina Certified Paralegal.  Vickie served as the North Carolina Bar Association Legal Assistants Division Ethics Committee Chairperson from June 2006 through June 2007, was a North Carolina Bar Association Legal Assistants Division Section Council Member from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2008, and was a former CLE Review Board Member for the Institute for Paralegal Education from December 2007 through December 2008.  Vickie is a current member of the North Carolina Paralegal Association, the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.  In her spare time Vickie enjoys spending time with her husband and cheering for the Appalachian State Mountaineers football team.  Vickie has this to say about working at Partin, Patton & Brown:

"It is truly rewarding to work with a firm that focuses on helping others in their time of need.  Whether clients are seeking disability benefits or assistance after sustaining a personal injury, at Patton Brown Law I am able to use my knowledge and experience to make their lives a little easier.  From my personal experience I have learned that it really is better to give than to receive."
